Top Kick Martial Arts Studio

I was with Alicia at Taekwondo one night and Master Le came over and said, "what are you doing with your hair?" I then explained to him about my fundraiser and he looked at me and said," $500.00, that's it! If I give you $500.00 you will color your whole head of hair pink?" I totally thought he was joking around with me! He then asked me how much I needed to make my goal. I told him somewhere in the range of $500.00! He let me check on the computer and then he wrote me a check right there for $514.00! I made my goal that day!

Me and my Pink hair! I had a great time with the pink! I was so out of my comfort zone it was crazy!

This ends my Journey!
Now I enter a new stage of my Journey....Training!!!!!

3 days 60 miles

I have decided to do the Susan G. Komen walk for the cure! I know crazy right! It gets better though! Now that I have decided to do the walk I have learned that it is in Sept of this yr and it will be held in DC! The best part of it all is it's 3 days 60 miles! Every day we walk 20 miles. I also learned that we have to raise $2,300.00, if we want to walk in Sept! Whewww, I seriously can't believe I have signed up for this!

Well, that is what I was thinking when I registered for this undertaking! Let's fast forward a little here.....I registered in Feb and before the month was over I already raised all my money! I have even gone over by a few dollars!

I have to admit that when I started this I didn't know anyone that has had breast cancer and now I have had the honor of meeting some amazing women! I feel it is a privilege to do this race for them!

I have to give a shout out to all my family and friends who have supported me in my efforts! I know that not everyone has been able to donate money, but that is not all the support I need! I have received a lot of morel support from everyone! To this day I have been extremely blessed with an overwhelming amount of love and support!

If you are reading this and feel compelled to donate to our team please go to www.the3day.org and on the right hand side is a tab that is titles "donate to a participant". Click on that and then do a search for a team...Foxy Fighters...Then choose one of my team mates that have not reached there goal of $2,300.00!

Thank you for your kindness!

From here I will take you through my journey!

Pink Hair Fundraiser

I was trying to come up with a fun way to get people excited to donate money to me and this is what I came up with
Pink Hair Fundraiser
From now until the end of March I will put one strip of pink in my hair
for a donation of $40.00 or more!
For a donation of $500.00 I will color my whole head of hair pink!

I sent an email out to my family and friends at around midnight the night I decided to do this and as well posted it on FB. By the next morning I received three donations!

I waited until I had four donations to put in my first set of strips!

This was my first attempt! I put two strips on each side!

It didn't work because my hair was too brown I guess. So I had to then get more serious!

I had to bleach out my hair so the pink would take! I had a friend put highlights in my hair one night.

The next day we put the pink in and Walla, It worked and I have some strips!

Then the big donation came in and I received $500.00! I was totally shocked and even more shocked when I realized I was going to have to do my whole head pink!

This is what it looked like when it was all done!

Valentines Day Dress

This is a Dress I made for Alicia for Valentines Day.

I made the bow to match
too!

MESSING AROUND

Just having some fun with the different Christmas apps on my Iphone.

PRINCESS BED... FINALY!

I finally bit the bullet and just went for it! I didn't know what I was doing, but I had an idea! This came out perfect too! Alicia wanted a Fancy Nancy bed and I did it! You can see the picture in the middle of the bed. It says, "Princess, Daughter of a Heavenly King"!

BOWS

Just some bows I made for Alicia! I was excited to learn how to do the curly ribbon, so I thought I would take a picture and show you.

The brown bow in the middle of the flower is a type of bead that was on the bracelet that was made by a friend of mine and given to me at my baby shower for Alicia. Kinda fun!

* FRIENDS * SUSHI * POTTER * = * TROUBLE

It was my good friend Britta's Birthday. To celebrate we took her to a Sushi place (her choice)! It was such a fun night!

Harry Potter was also opening that night! We went to the midnight showing and had such a good time!

Can you see our scars???

Miss TuTu

Alicia is taking classes to learn Ballet. She is doing very well! She is enjoying herself very much. Some days she likes it more than others, but for the most part she likes it so far.

I'm so impressed with Alicia's form! She is so perfect and tight! The other girls seem floppy with there figure! What can I say, I'm her mom and I want to brag! :)

On this day of class the teacher invited all the parents into the studio so the girls could show us what they had been practicing. I think it was kinda a half way marker in the yr.

If you double click on the pictures they will enlarge. Why wouldn't you want a better look!!!!!

Cozy Up To A Good Book

If you know me at all you know that my Favorite author is Debbie Macomber! Every yr she puts out a Christmas book. Every yr I buy it and read it! This yr is was Call me Mrs Miracle. I really liked the twist in the end! I wasn't expecting it at all! When I retold the story to Scott, extremely brief, I was totally crying at the end! I loved, loved, loved this book! One of her better books for sure! Highly recommend it!

PURSES OHHHH MY

One of Scott's co workers wife, called me one day and asked me if I would be interested in making my purses and selling them at a craft show. She got a booth and wanted to share with me. I was kinda excited but I didn't really understand what I was getting myself into! I ended up with 14 purses. We then drove them to NY and dropped them off! I ended up selling I think like 5 of them at the craft show. I started out at $35.00 and ended up selling them for $20.00! When I came home I sold the rest and was left with two which I am eventually giving to my mom and my sis-in-law!

14th Anniversary

I have the best husband ever! He called me one day while he was at work and said that he booked us a hotel in NY to pack our bags! We had the best 14th Anniversary!

Let's VaMoose....

We took the VaMoose bus to NY City. It was such a nice buss and it was only $60.00 round trip for each of us.
We took the earliest bus which got us there at 10:30. It was a four hr drive. Alicia was so tired she went in the seat in front of us and slept the whole ride.

We had told Alicia about the Toy's-R-Us store and the huge Barbie house in it and the Farris Wheel. As soon as we got to our Hotel she started in...Are we going to Toy's-R-Us...When are we going to the toy store....Mommy you promised we would go....I don't want to go to Time Square...on and on and on it went! :) We decided it would be in our best interest to just go straight there! hahaha

Funny thing is I totally thought she would want a Barbie Doll, but she wanted Squeekie toys!

The Hotel

We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria while there! It was amazing! We had a bed brought in for Alicia and they set it up in our dressing room. The room was so big that even after the bed was in it we still had room to use the chair and the second double closet that was in it! The bathroom was unbelievable! The tub was so big and deep it was awesome! I took a bath every night we were there, which was 3 nights and 4 days! What a great place to spend your anniversary!

Brooklyn Bridge

What an amazing site to see! I'm so glad we decided to go see this site!

Fifth Ave....

I had to get a picture of this store! Who hasn't heard of Saks on Fifth Ave!!!!!

Central Park in Fall...

Need I say more.....

I have the most Beautiful family ever!

American Girl Dolls...What...

This was our trip to the American Girl Doll Store! Alicia chose one of the Bitty Babies, and wanted her to wear the Ice Skating outfit. We went the night before Thanksgiving and picked out the doll and the outfit and I also let Alicia get a shirt to match her doll.
You can see all the Bitty Babies in this picture.

This is Alicia standing in line waiting to see the hair dresser!

Here Alicia's doll is getting her hair done. So the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, we woke up early and went to the American Girl Doll Store in NY and stood in line until it opened. I told Alicia that we would go and get her dolls hair done. She picked the half pig tails hair doo.

The end result...A very happy little girl with a little Bitty Baby!

Ferry to Ellis Island

We took the Ferry over to Ellis Island. It was a fun ride. A little cold but fun!

This picture turned out pretty dark, but I posted it because I like that the Statue of Liberty is behind her!

This is the Skyline view! I love it, it's so beautiful!

We didn't have time to stop at the Statue Of Liberty but it was an amazing site to see! We got this picture while still on the ferry to Ellis Island.

The Ellis Island musieum was so amazing! It was shocking what the immigrants went through to get there! The tests they endured and the time spent just to be free! The lack of knowledge and tools we had were also pretty amazing! It was well worth the time and money spent to go there and learn about the history of these immigrants!

Macey's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010

We were so excited to be so close to the parade!

Alicia was mad at me in this picture because I wanted her to turn away from Hello Kitty so we could get a picture of us with the parade in the background. So much for a good picture! We did get a picture we will always remember though! lol

We were hungry and decided to go to a Deli right off the street from the parade. This was our Thanksgiving meal...Yummy!!!
